Disney Snack Attack: Round 2

Annnnnnnd we’re back.

After a brief hiatus from blogging about Walt Disney World, partially due in part to my Disney withdrawal, I’m back in action and covering my eats while on vacation.

For me, Disney is much more than an amusement park filled with rides and attractions.  Disney is also an amusement park for people who love trying new foods and drinks. For me, I definitely am both.

Today’s snack is pretty ordinary. But, it’s definitely delicious and out-of-the-park delicious!

Pretty much every kid in American history has dreamed of going to Walt Disney World – even the little kid living inside those burly Super Bowl MVP’s as they smile ear-to-ear when they say “I’m going to Disney World!”

So, let me paint the scene. You’re at the Magic Kingdom, you make it past security, make your way through those tunnels and there you are, face-to-face with the American Dream as you walk slowly, (jaw dropped of course), approaching Main Street USA.

The classic music is playing in the background as you look around at the old American-style storefronts. You make your way through the crowds and past every store where you get a rush of freezing cold air coming from the stores’ air conditioning.

Finally, you make it to the end of Main Street USA and to your left you spot the snack destination of today’s blog, Casey’s Corner.

It’s this little gem that serves up perhaps the most American of meals – a hot dog and fries paired with — you guessed it, America’s sport – baseball.

The employees are dressed in old-school baseball uniforms and are serving up some ball park favorites: hot dogs, corn dog nuggets, French fries, Cracker Jack and cotton candy.

It’s tradition, on my first day at the Magic Kingdom, I stop at Casey’s Corner and get a Hot Dog Meal ($8.29).  In this meal, you get a hot dog, apple slices or fries.

This snack/meal is so simple but so delicious! There are toppings galore once you order your hot dog – onions, relish, ketchup, mustard and mayo! Spice it up however you like.

Here’s my work of art:

In conclusion, if you’re planning a trip to Walt Disney World, definitely make a pit stop to Casey’s Corner and you’re sure to hit a home run!
