Transforming your life can be scary. But you’re not alone. Today’s the day you take control of your life once and for all!
In this day and age, losing weight has become increasingly more confusing. Everywhere you look there’s a new diet solution, a “revolutionary” product that claims to be the answer to weight loss troubles and of course, plans that promise quick results.
Well, I’m here to give you a reality check. Let it be known that there’s no such thing as a magic pill, powder or potion that will make you instantly lose weight. What will work is something called HARD WORK.
It’s 2016 and we’re living in a society where after doing one crunch we lift up our shirts to see if we have a six pack yet. Call me the Grim Reaper if you’d like but, unfortunately, that’s just not the case.
If you want to see results you have to put in the effort and make a commitment to changing yourself both physically and mentally.
Personally, I don’t like the word diet. I too find it to be a restrictive experience. Rather, I look at it as “transforming” your life. This means that you’ll be making changes to what you eat and how you can be active.
Transforming your life is no easy task. It takes diligence, perseverance, hard work and of course, the discipline to keep your goals in mind when eating and exercising.
I think one of the main reasons that people fail to stay on track when it comes to changing their lifestyle is because they look at this transformation as a death sentence. They look at the so-called “negatives” rather than the positives – better overall health.
These negatives are restrictions – they shudder at the thought of not being able to eat their favorite hamburger or avoiding the junk food aisle at the grocery store. It’s these thoughts that make them want to rebel and when they do – they head right back to where they started on the unhealthy path towards self-destruction.
This simply isn’t the case. Transforming your life should be fun. It’s a challenge, you’re setting a goal for yourself and you’re going to change your life forever – in a good way.
It’s a big commitment – but sometimes, you just have to sack up and take the plunge. Quit waiting for specific days to turn your life around like New Year’s Day. Start now.
I want to help you live your best life. Check back next week when I get back-to-basics with weight loss!
